Samaritan House is leading the fight against poverty in San Mateo County. With a personalized approach and a full range of essential services, this non-profit organization helps people in the community stay fed, clothed, healthy, housed, and on the road to financial independence. By bringing together a dynamic network of volunteers and partners, Samaritan House helps those experiencing poverty remain active, successful members of the community. We helped this galvanizing force for good craft a strong brand platform to spread the word about their bold new programs designed to lift even more people out of poverty—and spread the message of hope.
Founded in 1974 by local nurse Dr. Cora Clemmons, Samaritan House empowers clients through individualized services and programs that help them feel supported while achieving their goals. Combining progressive ideas, optimistic determination, and an empathetic approach, the agency is at the forefront of the fight against poverty in San Mateo County.
Samaritan House needed to develop a complete brand platform, including messaging and a strong tagline to bring it all together. And when they celebrated their 50th anniversary, they wanted a fresh approach to highlight the leadership role they play and the innovation that’s been at their core since the very beginning.
WHAT WE DID
WriteBrand worked with our longtime partner LOOK Agency and the Samaritan House team on the original platform, landing on the tagline: Fighting poverty. Lifting lives. Three years later, we were part of the team at Cavanaugh Creative working on an update for their 50th that clearly telegraphs their leadership role and powerful impact in the San Mateo community.
